Colorado July 4th Fireworks 2011
Colorado has dozens of fourth of July fireworks displays in 2011. You may just want to attend the one nearest you. If you want to travel a bit to see some bigger shows, I list them here:
Black Hawk Boomtown Fireworks: Beginning around 9:30pm July 4th, this fireworks display features the biggest and best grand finale in all of Colorado. Get there early for a good viewing spot. Black Hawk's web site contains a map of the best viewing locations.
Denver 4th of July Fireworks: Denver turns the 4th of July into a multi-day event. Coors Field will have fireworks displays on July 1st and 2nd after the games. Civic Center Park will have a symphony and fireworks on July 3rd. Invesco will have fireworks on July 3rd after the Outlaws game. Elitch Gardens will have fireworks on July 4th. Most of the Denver fireworks shows can be seen from anywhere in town where you have a view in that general direction. My favorite spots are in the park areas near REI or at Union Station near the Light Rail station.
Golden Lion's Club Fireworks: The Golden Lion's Club has an annual July 4th celebration and fireworks at Lion's Park (along Clear Creek). Although not one of the larger fireworks displays, the celebration has grown to attract a large crowd over the years.
Complete List: The Denver Channel Site has a full list of Colorado fireworks shows.
