Frozen Dead Guy Days in Nederland (Annual, March 5-7 2010)

2010's Frozen Dead Guy Days will be celebrated March 5 through March 7.  The highlight of the event is really the Polar Plunge, where anyone can sign up to take a dive in a freezing pond. Some people do it for the thrill, some do it to raise money for charities, and some are just plain nuts. There is also a coffin race and hearse parade.

The event is held in Nederland, Colorado (at the top of Boulder Canyon west of Boulder). 

This used to be a really fun event for the members of the mountain communities to come together, but as word spread over the years, it has grown in popularity to the point where it is becoming an overcrowded mess.
