Denver Cinco De Mayo Festival (May 5th-6th, 2012)

One of the best ways to experience Denver's rich Hispanic heritage is to visit the annual free Denver Cinco De Mayo Festival, one of the best things to do in Denver on a May weekend.

The festival is held in the civic center park area. There are free music performances at the park amphitheater, as well as dance performances at the folklore stage. Both stages highlight Hispanic folk history through rich and colorful song and dance. This festival usually has great Denver spring weather and features local crafts and performers in their hometown.

Another perk to this festival is that product manufacturers will be there with free samples of all kinds. You can really load up if you are willing to wait in the sometimes long lines.
