Denver Cinco De Mayo Festival (annual weekend near May 5th)

Denver downtown hosts an annual free Cinco De Mayo Festival, usually the weekend after May 5th. The event is held in the civic center park area. There are free music performances at the park amphitheater, as well as dance performances at the folklore stage. This is a real Colorado event that features local crafts and performers in their hometown.

Another perk to this event is that product manufacturers will be there with free samples of all kinds. You can really load up if you are willing to wait in the sometimes long lines.

The 2010 Denver Cinco De Mayo festival takes place Saturday and Sunday, May 8th and 9th.
