The winter months are the best time to find a Denver hotel discount. Mile high holidays begins right after Christmas and continues through the end of January for most participating hotels. They set aside a certain number of rooms each day for those of us wanting to enjoy the holidays away from home at super low rates. This gives you a chance to enjoy Denver downtown attractions such as LoDo, Larimer Square, and Capital Hill. You might also want to attend a convention or a show at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts in the Theater District. Typically these are classic real Colorado hotels that offer a unique experience you won't find at the major discount chains.
Denver downtown hotel rates are typically $52.80 for some of the most luxurious hotels in the Denver area during Mile High Holidays. Some may be slightly more or less.
This is a chance to spend an evening away from home in some of Denver's best hotels. My wife and I went to the Oxford in 2010, which was wonderful. In 2009 we went to The Curtis and it remains probably the nicest hotel we've ever stayed in.
