Children's Museum of Denver (free first Tuesday monthly, 4-8pm)

One of the best Denver free attractions for the kids, the Children's Museum of Denver's free day takes place on the first Tuesday of every month.

This hands-on museum in downtown Denver is one of the best Denver free events, and provides young kids with a valuable educational playtime.  

Admission is free from 4 pm to 8 pm. Younger children love the interactive and play nature of the museum. It's often difficult to get them away from full-size fire truck in the main lobby, but there are fun things to do throughout the museum. There are several large play areas as well as smaller rooms for constructive activities such as music and crafts.
