Dinosaur Ridge in Morrison (always free)

This park in Morrison, Colorado (southwest of Golden) is really an outdoor museum, where you can hike or drive as you examine evidence of Dinosaur activity in Colorado. One of the popular Colorado attractions for kids.

The kids will love the Dinosaur footprints and other information along the ridge at the various driving stops. There is also a ridgetop hike that is beautiful and interesting, and you can link the hike up with the trails at Red Rocks if you want a longer excursion. Dinosaur Ridge hosts many events throughout the year.
